Compliance is a condition of the business, not a department

We move goods that are regulated in almost every jurisdiction they touch: certified aircraft components, dangerous goods, dual-use equipment. A single unchecked counterparty or a missing end-use declaration can cost far more than any shipment is worth.

So the checks happen before the quotation, not after the order. If a transaction cannot be done cleanly, we decline it and say why. We would rather lose the order than the licence.

None of this is outsourced to a certificate on a wall. The people who screen the counterparty are the people who handle the deal.

We monitor the sanctions landscape continuously — it changes faster than any annual review cycle can follow.

Re-screening, not one-off screening. A counterparty cleared last quarter is not cleared today. We re-check before each transaction and monitor existing relationships against list changes — designations are added continuously, and a name that was clean at contract signature may not be at shipment.

Know who you are dealing with

Before a first transaction we build a counterparty file: incorporation documents, ownership structure, licences relevant to the goods, and the commercial rationale for the trade. It is prepared by our team and reviewed by a person, not signed off by a script.
